BRITAIN PROMISES TO PROTECT ISRAELI WAR CRIMINALS

On 3 November 2010, Foreign Secretary William Hague, while on a visit to Israel, pledged that Britain would not allow any Israeli politician to be arrested for alleged war crimes if they came to London. He assured journalists that he was putting forward proposals in parliament that would guarantee Israeli government ministers and other officials immunity from any such charges while in the United Kingdom.1
